Braun's first Swiss-made watch is a minimalist affair powered by an automatic mechanical movement.
Dieter Rams' design philosophy remains evident in the functional, minimalist looks of Braun's BN0279 watch. The firm's first-ever Swiss-made timepiece has an elegant, mostly empty dial, with a track around the outside offering simple square hour markings. Callbacks to Braun designs of the past are seen in the yellow-tipped second hand and red chevron date indicator at 3 o'clock, while hour and minute hands are filled with Super-LumiNova for nighttime legibility. It's powered by a Swiss-made ETA 2892A2 automatic movement, visible through the exhibition caseback. It is held inside a 40mm stainless steel case in silver or matte black, paired with a simple black rubber strap, and limited to 150 examples of each color.
