The Gel-Extreme basketball shoe was Toshikazu Kayano's first design project with Asics. The EX89 draws inspiration from the 1989 original while adding modern comforts. The upper of this Clay Grey colorway is made from leather, with a perforated toe box, grey stripe logo, and tonal leather overlays. Inside, modern FF Blast technology provides improved cushioning and is paired with a sculpted heel shape for added comfort. It's finished with an outsole bearing a functional grip pattern meant to represent the view of a city from the sky.
