Editor’s Note

The Porsche 911 is an automotive icon, and owners — regardless of year — are often deeply passionate about their cars. Photographer Bart Kuykens has made that bond between driver and machine the core of his A Flat 6 Love Affair series. Each volume documents memorable owners and their cherished chariots, all photographed in silky black and white and accompanied by forewords from fellow Porsche aficionados. This set includes all seven volumes, each with letting at the bottom that spells out "PORSCHE" when displayed on the shelf.

Vol. 1 has forewords from Johnny Tipler, Magnus Walker, and Bob Tilton, and features Mathias Hoeïng, Reinhard Patzschke, Maurice van den Tillaard, and more.

Vol. 2 has forewords by Matt Hummel, John Benton, and Luc Donckerwolke, and features Leonard Stolk, Guy Pasmans, Gilbert Pothen, and others.

Vol. 3 contains forewords by Sera Trimble, Rob Dickinson, and Lee Sibley, and features Paloma Picasso, Hans Mezger, Aloïs Ruf, Norbert Singer, and more.

Vol. 4 features forewords by Paloma Picasso, Jeff Zwart, and Hans-Peter Porsche, and profiles Hans-Peter Porsche, Fanny Saulay, Christophe Gerber, and others.

Vol. 5 features forewords by Patrick Long, Andre Lotterer, and Robbie Naish, and profiles Jay Leno, Magnus Walker, Rob Dickinson, and more.

Vol. 6 features forewords by Emily Sawamura, Alois Ruf, and Rod Emory, and profiles Chuck Beck, Patrick Dempsey, Jennifer Nicole, and others.

Vol. 7 features forewords by Freeman Thomas, John Oates, and Rich Machin, and profiles Garry Plummer, Benjamin Pedersen, Susanne Steffensen, and more.
